The governance of any organization should reflect the diversity of the community it serves.
All regions and interests need representation on the governing body of the IALHA, so PLEASE CONSIDER SERVING on the BOARD OF DIRECTORS, REGISTRY BOARD, or AUDIT BOARD.
The nomination process for the 2021 election cycle will begin on June 15th and close July 31st.
Any Full Member, 19 years old or older, owning a purebred or half-Andalusian is eligible to run for any Board Regional Director position. Eligibility for officers and registry board positions differ slightly. Detailed descriptions of each role may be found in our bylaws. Read a summary here.
A person must be a voting member of IALHA at the time they are nominated for an elected seat. People who are not members at the time of nomination may renew their membership and then request to be re-nominated and/or nominate themselves.
Board of Director’s attendance at the first board meeting each year (usually held in January in the Dallas, TX area) is required in person. The remaining (typically quarterly) meetings may be attended remotely by videoconference.
All elected positions will begin on January 1, 2022 and run for the term indicated.
Self nominations ARE allowed. Anonymous nominations are NOT permitted.
The following Board OFFICER positions are open for nominations:
- Vice President (one year term)
- Treasurer (two year term)
- Secretary (one year term)
- Show Chair (one year term)
The following REGIONAL DIRECTOR positions are open for nominations:

| Region 7: AL, FL, GA, MS, NC, SC, TN, South America | 1 open seat (two year term) |
| At Large Director | 1 open seat (two year term) |
The following REGISTRY BOARD positions are open for nominations:
- One Open seat that is a 1- year term
- One Open seat that is a 3 – year term
The 2021 Nominations Window will open June 15, 2021 and officially closes at 11:59, Pacific Time, on July 31. No additional nominations will be accepted after that date.
