The International Andalusian & Lusitano Horse Association, and the IALHA Education Association are pleased to announce an Andalusian/Lusitano (A/L) Licensed Officials Educational Seminar.Ā The Clinic will be held in conjunction with the IALHA National Championship Show November 10-11, 2022 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
Expert Instructor
Honorable Judge Gareth Selwood will conduct the seminar.Ā A Lifetime Horseman, Gareth has shown and judged horses all over the World. He is USEF Carded in Friesian, Morgan, Andalusian/Lusitano, and Western. He is a certified Equine Appraiser and a Life Member of USEF, NRHA, ADS, USDF, and IFSHA. Gareth was involved in both the IALHA and IFSHA becoming the official Breed Affiliates for USEF. As a USEF Panelist, he has instructed Judges for USEF Andalusian/Lusitano and Friesian Divisions.
Instruction will include didactic educational presentations, silent shadow judging of National Championship Classes, discussion following each section, and Andalusian and Lusitano specialty class specifications.

The clinic will satisfy Licensed Officialsā continuing education requirements ($250).Ā
Those interested in attending the clinic to become a ārā USEF Andalusian/Lusitano judge, ($250) visit https://www.usef.org/compete/resources-forms/licensed-officials and submit a licensing application checklist. Please note that if the checklist is not submitted prior to the clinic, it will not count toward the requirements to obtain this license. A helpful PowerPoint that explains how to start the checklist can be found here, where you will also find a policies and procedures document which lists general licensing information and requirements for each USEF license. To begin a checklist, applicants must be Active (competing) USEF members, pass a criminal background check, complete Safe Sport training, and complete Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training. Additionally, this is an amazing opportunity for auditors who wish to learn more about the breeds from an experienced judge in an ideal setting ($150).
