for the IALHA 2020 National Championships
The IALHA show committee has been hard at work for several months to plan a great National Show. Since March, we have continued our planning while also watching what was happening in the industry. It goes without saying that this has been an unpredictable and unprecedented year… many breeds have canceled their 2020 National shows, and a few have moved to dates later in the year. Our most recent committee meeting was spent in a lengthy discussion about the feasibility of holding the show this year.
Many factors including, but not limited to – whether COVID-19 will increase again in the Fall, the economic hardships created by mandatory shut downs, the reduced opportunities to train/prepare horses at Spring shows, and not knowing how quickly things will reopen – are all being taken into consideration, making our decision complex and difficult.
But we also recognize that the IALHA National Show has been held annually for over 20 years. And, we have heard from you that there is a pent up demand for shows since very few breed shows are being held for the Andalusian/Lusitano in 2020 due to the pandemic.
After much deliberation, the show committee has determined that in order to be good stewards of the association resources, we must raise money to underwrite the show.
Therefore, we are beginning a focused and concerted effort to raise $30,000 in Patron sponsorships by the end of June. If we are able to do this, we can more confidently move forward, and not risk ending up in the red. The good news is that $15,000 has already been raised!
So, your Show Committee needs your support. We are appealing to all members to be a part of this endeavor in any amount they’re able, by July 1st. Although there are already a number of patron levels, we have added some new benefits and a $200 “SUPPORT” level to make participating in this campaign accessible to even more people.
Also, in order to make it super easy for every sponsor to take full advantage of all the patron benefits, a convenient option has been added: for only $50, we will take care of the ad for you! All you have to do is choose from one of the layout options, select a color, and then send us a photo and the message you’d like to include. Take a look at the selections.
At this new rate and with that option, why not consider purchasing several and using the ad to: thank your trainer, congratulate a friend, cheer on your youth, celebrate an event, applaud an achievement, toast a client, honor a winner, memorialize a horse, or any other fun reason?
