The February IALHA Calendar photo of Jacinto was taken by Ella Chedester – Ella Chedester Photography, an Oregon-based equine photographer specializing in the sport of dressage. This photo was captured at the 2022 GAIG/USDF Region 6 Championships at Donida Farm Equestrian Center in Washington.
Mary Stevenson, Jacinto’s owner and rider shares that he “is kind, patient and willing…until he has to side pass up to a pool noodle! Then he’s a wild, energetic piaffe machine! My Dressage coach would have been happy, the trail obstacle Judge, not so much. Our photo was taken at the 2022 USDF Region 6 Championships, while I competed in the Second Level Amateur class. Jacinto is very talented but I’m very much an amateur. Despite my shortcomings, we finished 7th.”
