IALHA Selected for 2023 Rose Parade

IALHA Selected for 2023 Rose Parade

We are very excited to announce that the IALHA has been selected to participate in the 2023 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade!

It has been a number of years since the IALHA had a presence in this famous event and we are so proud to take part again.

The parade will be held on Monday January 2, 2023 this year.

We submitted an application earlier this year and were notified in August that we had been selected, but we weren’t able to share until the official press release was published by the Rose Parade. It sure was hard to keep it to ourselves! You can read that press release below.

We greatly appreciate Dr. Walter de la Brosse for the inspiration to submit an application and recruit an initial core group of riders! Also appreciated are all of the folks on our entire team who are volunteering their time to represent the IALHA in the parade and behind the scenes… riders, drivers, walkers and support!

More to come as the date draws nearer, so stay tuned!

EQUESTRIANS SELECTED FOR 2023 ROSE PARADE
16 equestrian units to celebrate New Year’s Day on Colorado Boulevard

The Pasadena Tournament of Roses is proud to announce 16 outstanding equestrian groups to ride in the 134th Rose Parade presented by Honda, themed ā€œTurning the Corner.ā€From the beginning, the Equestrian units have always played an integral part in the Rose Parade. Equestrians participating will showcase a variety of horse breeds that entertain and highlight their majesty and poise. Each unit offers a variety of exceptional skills as well as unique costumes. In addition to riding in the five-and-a-half mile Rose Parade route on Monday, January 2, 2023, these equestrian groups are invited to take part in Equestfest on Friday, December 30, 2022, at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center. Equestfest is an equine showcase where units perform their best tricks, drills, dancing and roping skills. Attendees can walk through the stables and meet the riders and horses.
