June 2024 Calendar photo

The June image in the 2024 IALHA Calendar showcases a photo of Cielo 2007 framed by the Santa Ana Mountains.  The image was captured by the talented Brooke Louise – a skilled horse show photographer among her many creative pursuits.

This beautiful image was taken at the 2022 Fall Wine Country Classic Working Equitation Show in Murrieta, CA.

In the photograph, Cielo 2007 (affectionately known as “Coconut”), a 16-year-old Andalusian gelding, and his proud owner Sarah Pinney, are competing at Level 5 in the Speed Phase.

Sarah shares “As both Cielo’s breeder and owner, I couldn’t be more thrilled with my friend and partner. Cielo has been a delight throughout his life, demonstrating intelligence and character that exemplify the best of this wonderful breed. He is willing, talented, well-rounded, fun-loving, mischievous, and simply perfect in my eyes.”

Sarah and Cielo compete in Working Equitation and FEI Level dressage, and also enjoy pas de deux, exhibitions, and trail riding together.
