Preserving and Promoting Andalusians and Lusitanos and their Crosses

The International Andalusian & Lusitano Horse Association (IALHA) is an organization of owners and breeders of Andalusian and Lusitano Horses and their derivatives. We maintain a registry for purebred and half-bred Andalusians and Lusitanos, and Spanish/Portuguese (S/P) horses.

IALHA holds true to the long and glorious history of these magnificent breeds and acknowledge the original bloodlines from Spain and Portugal. We are a member association and provide shows for competition and to promote these horses’ unique qualities to the world.

IALHA Studbook

The IALHA manages both a Studbook and a Registry. Individual horses are connected to their breeders and current owners through verifiable documentation.

"We have been members of the IALHA for 30 years and have served on the board of directors and on committees at various times.
On several occasions new members have come to us with some thorny registration issues. The office staff and registrar have always been very helpful and skillful in resolving these entanglements.
We encourage new and prospective members to attend IALHA shows because it provides innumerable opportunities for networking and education."
